June in the Garden
Summer is beginning to settle in. The dry hot weather has been broken by a couple of heavy rain showers, a relief to us gardeners to have help in sustaining and watering thirsty plants. With the warm weather, growth has been happening quickly. We are busy working in your gardens, tackling weeds, cutting back dead growth and generally working to keep on top of your gardens to ensure they are healthy and as tidy as possible for you to enjoy through the warmer days.
Plants that are taking the lime light this month is the Rambling Rector Rose, a wall of flowers for the majority of June. Roses are coming into their own this month for us to enjoy. Other plants we have loved seeing include Iris, Deutzia, Alliums, Leucanthemum and Peonies. We love spotting them in your borders and flower beds.
We can’t wait to work in your gardens this month, the team at Mackintosh Martin Gardening.
